Hymers College in Hull have New Sound System Installed

Old Barn Audio were originally approached by Dr Matthew Pickles of Hymers College, earlier this year about the sound in their school. The equipment they currently had was not sufficient for all the needs of this growing college.

They have a school theatre that is used for drama, shows and lectures. Therefore the large auditorium needs exceptional sound. An old system had been moved from their old stage area and was not equipped to cope with the size of this new space. There were only two original speakers so we proposed using three, installing the extra speaker into the middle of the auditorium. Using the existing infrastructue kept the cost down for the school, yet enabled them to have a successfully installed complete sound system for all their future needs.

In total, Old Barn Audio installed:

2 x Blackline X118 subwoofers
2 x Crown XLS2502 amplifiers
1 x Crown XLS1002 amplifier
1 x Symetrix Solus 8 Processor
1 x Symetrix Arc2 Wall Panel
1 x Allen & Heath Qu24C
1 x Allen & Heath AB1608
4 x Bosch Relay speakers with volume control
